Modification at JMG Porsche

Written by

At JMG Porsche we believe that the modification requirements of your Porsche are as unique as you are as a person. With this in mind we are able to tailor your modification to how you use your Porsche.

Modification can involve the addition of factory options not chosen when your car was originally ordered, such as cruise control, on board computer (OBC), sports suspension, sports brakes or even the Porsche Sports Exhaust (PSE)

Modification can also involve the improvement of the standard factory components to rectify or avoid a flaw or design fault. This might include issues such as intermediate shaft bearing (IMS) failure on a 996 or Boxster, or even removing limitations programmed into your Porsche, intended originally to restrict the cars performance as to not conflict it with a more expensive model. this might include chip tuning (also known as chipping) or altering the boost limit.

In addition modification can involve the complete redesign of components to take the car far beyond the original specifications, such as a larger capacity engine, larger turbo chargers, weight reduction, improved suspension or even complete race or track preparation.

We cater for all Porsche models and do not discriminate between old and new, top of the range or those with lower specification, we believe that all models have potential to be improved beyond even the most expensive motorport variant from the same (or in some cases later) era of Porsche history.

The air cooled Porsche 911 evolved from the 1960's through to the late 1990's and JMG Porsche have continued to evolve these models with improved products. The Porsche 924 evolved first into the 944, the 944 turbo and eventually into the Porsche 968, and again we have modified those models to provide the performance to even surprise the driver of a new 997 GT2.

In recent years we have also turned our attention to the 996 and 997 models, as well as the Boxster and Cayman. From a simple speaker upgrade through to a 4.0 litre engine conversion, or even preparing these models these models for dedicated track or race use, JMG Porsche have extensive experience in improving even the current model line up from Porsche.

JMG have also built a reputation for car audio upgrades which was almost unplanned, but due to a response from customers of later models who wished to upgrade their car hifi to improve it beyond even the Bose equipment and even provide alternative head units, ipod interfaces and much more.

With customers from all around the world, including people bringing their cars from as far afield as the middle east, as well as Europe, JMG Porsche can support your car wherever you are based. However closer to home, JMG Porsche are convenient for anywhere in Dorset, Hampshire, Wiltshire, West Sussex and even Devon.

Servicing at JMG Porsche

Written by

At JMG Porsche we have often found customers who are confused by their service book recommendations for servicing.

With different items being required at different times based on years or miles, we have recently built a service guide price list for nearly every Porsche model, along with what should be performed on each year of the car's life, going back to when the car was new, right the way through to it being decades old, especially made for each and every model, for each and every year of it's life.

Whatever your model, we have a concise price list for your car, where you just look at the age of the car and you can instantly see what service is due, what is included, and how much it costs.

This file for your Porsche is available from our reception, or it can be emailed through to you.

This can take all of the complexity out of choosing a service, avoiding breakdowns or the potential of missed items where all you need to know is the age of your Porsche and instantly know what service is due in an all inclusive (other than vat) one stop price.

JMG Porsche are convenient for anywhere in Dorset, Hampshire, Wiltshire, West Sussex and even Devon.
